Not only does fake work drain a company's resources without improving its bottom line, it steals conviction, care, and positive morale from employees, and adds the burden of high turnover, communication breakdowns, and cultural patterns of poor productivity.
QNET was pleased to feature sought-after and compelling speaker Brent D. Peterson to this year's conference for insight on how to turn fake work into real work. Brent taught us to identify needlessly time-consuming and sometimes difficult tasks and instead shift our focus toward rewarding work that will achieve results.
Brent D. Peterson, Ph.D. is the co-founder and chair of The Work Itself Group, Inc., which helps organizations align strategy with work. He has spent many years as a professor of human resource development in the Marriott School of Management, and was director of the Nyal McMullen Center for Entrepreneurship. He has written twenty books, including Fake "Work", founded three consulting companies, and facilitated more than 3,000 workshops over thirty years ranging from leadership to management to human resource issues, primarily with Fortune 1000 companies, around the world.

Closing Keynote - Uncrapify Your Life!
Featuring Jeff Havens
During his hilarious closing keynote by Jeff Havens was study in exactly what not to do. He gave us permission rather than advice, by ‘encouraging’ teams to criticize others and outsource blame - remember MYFABMOFA? We loved the laughs and appreciated that he brought it all home with a serious discussion about proper communication, customer service, and accountability practices.
By highlighting and then poking fun of practices we’re all guilty of, Uncrapify Your Life! offered a unique and delightful twist that will left us refreshed, surprised, and begging for more.
